Officers seized a quantity of fireworks after responding to multiple reports about young people throwing fireworks at Memorial Park in the Co Antrim town on Friday evening.
PSNI Antrim and Newtownabbey stated: “Thanks to help from members of the public, and a bit of clever planning, we were able to get a number of persons stopped and removed fireworks from them.

Hide Ad“Folks, please take the time to speak to your kids and remind them of how dangerous these items can be, both for themselves and anyone/any cars that they hit.
“Not only that, but the sudden noise can be terrifying for those vulnerable members of our society and our pets. Let’s try and enjoy the spooky season safely.”
