Man in court after an incident at noisy party
Stephen McPolin, Millmount Court, Lurgan Road, Banbridge, admitted disorderly behaviour on March 17 this year.
He was fined £150 last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court for the offence and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

Hide AdMcPolin was also bound over to keep the peace and be of good behaviour for two years in the sum of £500.
The court heard that police were called several times throughout the evening to a noisy house party at Golf Terrace in Banbridge.
At 6.30am they called again and asked people in attendance to leave.
The defendant, who was intoxicated, then became abusive .
He started shouting at police officers in an aggressive manner.

Hide AdHe was advised he was in a residential area and told to move on.
But instead McPolin gave the police the middle finger and he also continued shouting.
He was cautioned for disorderly behaviour.
A solicitor representing McPolin said the incident was fuelled by alcohol.
He added that it was St Patrick’s Day. McPolin had been with friends and had been drinking throughout the day.

Hide AdHe had taken a large amount of alcohol and had very little recollection of what happened.
The solicitor explained that McPolin and alcohol did not get along and when he did drink he became disorderly.
He said the offence was at the lower end of the scale and asked the court to consider binding over the defendant.
Imposing the binding over District Judge, Mr Paul Copeland, told McPolin he should not engage in drunken, disorderly behaviour in public places.
