Meeting of history group
Some of the more recent talks included a September talk was the History of 502 Squadron stationed at Aldergrove and was confidently given by Mr. Ernie Cromie who is well known for his knowledge of aviation history throughout Ireland.
October saw Dr. Myrtle Hill give an excellent and passionate talk on women in Irish History under the heading of Pioneers, Protesters and Preachers.

Hide AdDr. Myrtle joked about being retired but now able to research things she hadn’t the time to do whilst she was in employment and during question time couldn’t believe her luck when it transpired one of the lady doctors in her talk was a great great aunt of one of the male members of the society.
Chairman Jack Milligan thanked Dr. Myrtle and the members for their support and also Anne for tea and biscuits.
