Armstrong is new holder of Woodside Cup at Raceview

Richard Armstrong is the latest winner of one of the oldest pieces of silverware in the Ballymena Golf Club cabinet, the Woodside Cup.

The scoring system changed from stableford to stroke and 16-handicapper Richard recorded four pars plus five bogeys on the first nine holes.

He added five pars and four bogeys on the second nine which all added up to a nett score of 61.

Second nett prize was taken by James Millar (22) with a nett score of 62, of which the front nine accounted for four pars but against that, he had a trio of double bogeys.
