Ballymena Primary pupils enjoy benefits of anti-bullying ju-jitsu class

“The girls and boys were excellent at all aspects of the course syllabus and worked extremely hard from start to finish!”

Hide AdThis special Anti-Bullying & Sport Ju-Jitsu course and presentations by Antrim Ju-Jitsu Coaches Paul and Mandi Timperley (from Shogun Ju-Jitsu International Ireland) were completed at a special morning assembly on the last day of Term 3 in June.
The Extended Schools Co-ordinator for the school, Suzanne Lithco said: “A wonderful course for all the boys and girls who took part.
“They really enjoyed it and we look forward to running more courses next year with Mandi and Paul.”
Bullying is a huge national problem, which all schools need to address and continually work hard to eradicate. The objective of these unique school courses designed and run by SJJI IRELAND is to help all children understand the consequences of bullying, what it is and to help reduce this national problem by supporting the schools and parents at home in whichever way possible. Communication and knowledge is key!

Paul and Mandi have plans in motion to expand their copyright Anti-Bullying & Sport Ju-Jitsu programme next year, allowing new children to participate and children who have already completed Level-1 to progress and learn more.
Mandi comments on this last course of the school year; “Well done to all the girls and boys who completed the course. They were brilliant!
“Our Gold Medal Winner and Champion student this time is Chloe Magee, a lovely little girl who did fantastic.
“Congratulations also goes to all the children who were merit winners of the Silver Medals, who were Fiona Moore, Joel Patterson, Chloe Davis & Rhys Grainger. A great end to the school year at this lovely school!”
