Carniny Youth's eight goal debut
The National Youth League teams had a mixed bag with The U15s and 14s kicking off their National League campaigns in mid week with win and a loss against Chimney Corner and Crumlin Colts respectively. The 15s then doubled up on Saturday with another win against Limavady whilst the 14s got back on track with a win over St Mary’s. The 12s shared the spoils with Warrenpoint whilst the 13s and 16s lost out to Lisburn Youth and Tristar respectively.
Under 10
Carniny Youth 8 Springfield Star 2
Carniny Under 10's kicked off their season with a great start against Springfield Star by taking the lead with a goal from Conor Stewart after 5 minutes, just before the break Joshua Logan scored Carniny's 2nd.

Hide AdSpringfield Star pulled a goal back in the second half. Carniny’s Conor Stewart and Joshua Logan both scored their second goals of the match taking the score to 4-1, shortly became 4-2 with Springfield getting another and Dane Archer scoring the 5th.
Andrew Farquhar was able to make the most of room left in Springfield's defence by scoring a hat trick in the final 10 minutes which made the final score 8-2.

Under 11
Carniny Youth 9 – 0 Sporting Cromac
The u11s got their season off to a very good start with 2 hat tricks for Stewart and Young in a very well deserved 9-0 win. The reds were 3 up half time thanks to Stewart (2) and Young(1).

Hide AdStewart got another 2 at the start of the second half with Young completing his hat trick too. McDonnell added no 8 and man of the match Matthew Downey finished the scoring.

Under 12
Carniny 2 - 2 Warrenpoint Town
The Under 12s where they started their first National Leage match in great style, when Doherty played in Keenan who slammed home goal number one. Town found the net just on the half time whistle.
Soon into the 2nd half the reds took the lead again when new boy Swann to tap in number 2. Three points were denied when Town found the net and equalized just before the final whistle.

Under 13
Lisburn Youth 4 – 1 Carniny Youth
The wind played quite a part in the opening two goals as Lisburn took a two goal lead into the interval.
The second half however saw a different Carniny and It was no surprise that mid way through the half Carniny pulled a goal back through Shevlin to make it 2-1. A further two late goals gave Lisburn a rather flattering score line.

Hide AdThis was a much better performance from the Ballymena Reds than their mid week game. Carniny gave away a penalty which St Mary's took advantage of to make it 1-0 after 20 minutes. Eventually a nicely weighted pass from Stewart Nixon put Cummings through again this time he slotted the ball home to make it 1-1 at half-time.
Around 60 minutes Connell Lemon found himself breaking through and hit a well aimed low shot into the corner of the net. This made the game 2-1 to Carniny and points on the board for Carniny.
Under 15s
Carniny Youth 2-0 Chimney Corner
Carniny started strong and made it one nil when Joshua Watson poked home to score on his Carniny debut. The midfield battle was tough, and this is where the Reds secured the win, when quick thinking from Chandler Douglas set up Geoffrey Dunlop to score from close range.

Hide AdWith five minutes on the clock Dunlop was brought down on the penalty box, with Douglas coolly slotting the ball into the left-hand corner of the net.
The second half started and it seemed only a matter of time before they would score the equaliser and sure enough they did. Limavady then scored their second and took a well deserved lead into the last 15 minutes of the game. Johnston scored his first goal for Carniny and brought the score back level. With about three minutes left Joshua Watson coolly slotted the ball home to win the game for Carniny.

Under 16s
Tristar 2 – 0 Carniny Youth
Tristar broke the deadlock ten mins before half time after what looked like a clear foul on A Carniny defender in the centre of defence at a corner. An unfortunate second half own goal put the game beyond the boys in red to see them lose by two goals at the final whistle.
