Kids have a ball at final muti-sports week
All the participants were presented with a Community Sport water bottle and a medal for successfully completing the 5 day event and there were 3 age categories for the Most Improved Player and Sportsperson of the Week.
The awards for Sportsperson of the Week went to Rachel McIlhagga (6 and 7 year olds), Taylor Wallace (8 and 9 year olds) and Rebecca Allen (10 to 12 year olds).

Hide AdMost Improved Player awards went to Ciaran Campbell (6 and 7 year olds), Jordan McMillan (8 and 9 year olds) and Owen Dick (10 to 12 year olds).
This year a special award of a Community Sport coaches sweatshirt was presented to Oliver Thorpe who has completed his final year on the programme having attended every year since its inception.
The programme coached by Craig Livingston from Active Communities, Bryan Scroggie and Julie Alexander from Community Sport, and guest coach Tom Wiggins from Ballymena Rugby Club is managed by Ballymena Borough Council through Gary Boyd, Ballymena Community Sports Development Officer.
Once again the programme has proved a resounding success with over 120 children taking part, trying out sports including tennis, cricket, golf, basketball, hockey, rugby and football amongst others.

Hide AdBallymena Borough Council, through its Development, Leisure and Cultural Services Department would like to thank everyone who took part this year, especially all the children, coaches and staff who assisted in delivering the programme.
Ballymena Community Sport would particularly like to thank Mayor Hubert Nicholl for presenting the prizes as well as Cecilia McWhirter from Ballymena Borough Council and Mount Charles Catering who kindly supplied the medals, trophies and twice daily drinks for the participants all week.
