I thought that we were the better side for a long period but unfortunately after we scored we took our foot off the pedal and let them into it again.
I had been emphasising the point that we had to concentrate in the period after we scored and we were trying to protect ourselves for that five or ten minute period but we let them back into it.

Hide AdLeon Knight had a good game and took his goals well but I think we could have defended them a bit better.
I thought there were defensive mistakes made for both goals and he didn’t really have to jump to head in his second. I thought the free-kick leading up to it was a very bad call though.
Our formation was a little bit narrow but we did get a lot of balls in round the box and I thought it worked quite well. Unfortunately not well enough to get us the three points.
We had a couple of players carrying injuries in James Costello and Ryan Harpur and I was down to the bare bones considering we were already missing the suspended Willo McDonagh, Jay Magee and Trevor Molloy. I just had to go with what I had really.

Hide AdWe let Chris Lavery go and get a game in with the Reserves as he was getting a bit rusty and Ciaran Doherty was on the bench but he probably needs another couple of matches to get his fitness up.
Overall, we’re not getting the rub of the green but I’m certainly determined to turn it round and we will turn it round. We’ll stay together as a team and we’re going to give someone a beating some of these days. I hope it’s Cliftonville on Saturday.
