Success for Friends’ rugby teams
The 2nd XV have an 80% win rate and were unlucky to draw 22-22 with Omagh Academy. Zach Finlay is showing great promise in full back.
The Medallion have been impressing on the field also although victories have been few but a 39-19 win over Belfast High School on Saturday has instilled some confidence. Good wishes go to Kirk McGrady, Gareth Hill and Ryan Hall who are involved in Ulster U17 training over the holiday period.

Hide AdThe U14 are unbeaten as yet and have scored 274 points and only conceded 17 with a win against Coleriane Inst a great start to the season. Although a small squad, the motivation and commitment of the players is unquestioned and captain Curtis Dundas is leading by example with tries and tackles.
The U13s have enjoyed six wins from eight outings with Leon Eley continuing to impress. Free flowing rugby is encouraged and out half Ben McCaughey is only too keen to spread the ball to speedster, Bradley Mulholland on the wing.
The Under 12/Year 8 team has also began their rugby career with wins over Bangor Grammar School and Belfast High School.
Rugby Co-ordinator, Ivor Monaghan commented that it is not only pleasing to see the impressive results but great support shown by parents and pupils on the sidelines.
