Andy McKnight

Andy McKnight is a local car salesman by day and an actor by night. He’s starring as Archie the Village Idiot in Lisnagarvey Operatic’s Society’s forthcoming production of Jack and the Beanstalk from 6th to 13th December at the Island Hall, Lisburn.

What do you like doing on your day off?

Watching rugby and catching up with friends

If you were to choose your favorite meal what would it be, where and why?

Anything, anywhere in India – the food there is just amazing!

What was the most frightening moment of your life?

Every time I step on the stage with Gillian McQuade in panto scares the life out of me!!

Apart from that I love skiing but my enthusiasm generally tends to outweigh my ability. Trying to get off a mountain in Livigno, Italy, a few years ago during a really heavy snowstorm in the fog, I really thought my number was up!!

How would you describe your taste in clothes?

I wear a shirt and tie at work so when I get home it’s shorts, hoodies and flip flops. When I venture out in public I’d say smart casual on a good day?!

What would you do if you won a million pounds?

Travel the world /make sure my family were comfortably off/ donate to charity
