1,000 mile charity walk for Ballymoney’s Margaret

A Ballymoney woman is putting her best foot forward to complete a walking challenge by the weekend to raise funds for the charity Melanoma Focus.

Margaret McDaid made it to Kemnay in Scotland just before lockdown in order to be with her daughter Olivia who is being treated for advanced metastatic melanoma for the third time.

Back in October 2019, Margaret decided to undertake a fundraiser for Melanoma Focus - walking 1,000 miles in six months! She is now just 25 miles away from hitting her target and aims to complete the task this Saturday (May 23).
