Tributes have been paid to the popular young Claudy man who was well known in GAA circles in south Derry. The PSNI had been treating his death as “unexplained” after his body was found about 20 hours after he left a bar in the city in the early hours of Sunday morning. John Mitchel’s GAA in Claudy were among the first to pay tribute to the young man on Monday. In a statement issued through their Facebook Page, the Club wrote: “It was with a very heavy heart that we leaned of Conall’s passing over the weekend.” Connall was described as being a “huge character” and “a real gentleman” by those who knew him, and the village of Claudy had been plunged into sadnesses following his sudden death.
